This is a day out not to be missed as ‘The Statesman’ departs from your local station for a memorable journey through the heart of England to Eastbourne on the sunny Sussex coast where the biggest annual air show in Britain is staged on the promenade and seashore…..

Our train takes the North London line to Clapham Junction where we join the Brighton line for a journey past Gatwick Airport and towards the lovely Sussex Downs National Park and through the pretty town of Lewes prior to our arrival in the elegant resort of Eastbourne. Around three hours will be available at your leisure to view the spectacle of ‘Airbourne 2027’.

Held to be one of the sunniest resorts in England award winning Eastbourne, which nestles at the foot of the south downs next to the national beauty spot Beachy Head, owes much to the Victorians who laid out many beautiful parks and gardens and built the pier. This elegant town has many charms awaiting discovery including an excellent shopping centre and traditional seaside bandstands.

Mobility: This tour is not suitable for guests requiring the use of a wheelchair or with serious mobility issues.
