Relax into your comfortable seat, sipping chilled Champagne while you wait for your smartly liveried steward to take your order. The menu itself is a journey through the best of British produce, filled with seasonal ingredients sourced from the regions on our routes. From the immaculate white tablecloths to the impeccable service, every little detail of the Statesman Pullman experience is designed for your comfort and relaxation.
Our creative and talented chefs endeavour to create a dining experience that encompasses the needs of all our passengers in as many situations as possible. In addition to our main set menu on each tour we cater for several variants being Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free and Pescatarian as standard, we just ask that you request this no later than seven days prior to the date of travel. If you have a requirement other than that please call our reservation team to discuss before booking. Many requests can sometimes be quite easily accommodated by our experienced on board Chefs. If we can, we will, if we can not we will be honest and tell you before you book.
Our First Class carriages are beautifully appointed, with large picture windows, wide cushioned seats, and plenty of room around our tables for two or four. Your steward will serve you complimentary tea, coffee and light snack items accompanied with a morning glass of Bucks Fizz and afternoon glass of sparkling wine. Many passengers in First Class choose to bring on board their own picnic hampers. Additional light snacks, hot and cold drinks, and a fine selection of wine, beer and spirits can be purchased from your steward.
