We are pleased to present a unique tour from local stations direct to Bath Spa - the beautiful Somerset city of Georgian elegance, to discover its famous and very unique Christmas market where over 120 chalet style stalls offer quality products and brilliant gift ideas. The famous Bath Abbey and Roman Baths provide an amazing backdrop to the city’s festive event offering seasonal shopping, fine foods and family fun with stalls showcasing the talents of retailers from Britain and the Continent. In the Roman Baths Museum there will be ‘Crafts in the Drawing Room’ selling a selection of locally handcrafted items.

If Christmas shopping is not your thing there is always the elegant and unforgettable city to discover which has attracted visitors since Roman times and we should have around three hours to discover highlights including the Pump Rooms and Abbey, The Carriage Museum and The Circus, Queen Square and Royal Crescent along with the opportunity to take an open top bus tour.

Alternatively continue on board ‘The Statesman’ a further 12 miles to the magnificent seafaring city of Bristol where there are a further three Christmas markets or curio shops to discover, or uncover its unique maritime history with perhaps a visit to Brunel’s masterpiece the S.S Great Britain.

Reserved seating is arranged in groups of 4 around a table with bookings for 2 seated side by side in open carriages - a buffet bar is available throughout most of the journey for the purchase of hot & cold beverages, snacks and alcoholic drinks. It is in order to bring on board your own hamper and picnics for consumption on or off the train should you so desire.

First Class
Reserved seating is arranged in groups of 4 or 2 around a table in open carriages with additional legroom, wide seats and panoramic windows. A buffet bar is available throughout most of the journey for the purchase of hot & cold beverages, snacks and alcoholic drinks. It is in order to bring on board your own hamper and picnics for consumption on or off the train should you so desire.

Premier Dining
Reserved seating is arranged in groups of 4 or 2 around a table in 1st class open carriages with additional legroom, wide seats and panoramic windows. A full English breakfast and a four course traditional Christmas dinner will be prepared on board by our chefs and silver served at your reserved seat by liveried stewards. A full wine & drinks list is available with an ‘at seat’ service during the meals. Further refreshments during the journey may be purchased from the buffet bar.

Pullman Dining
This is the ultimate travel experience – seating is in our refurbished Pullman style umber & cream air conditioned wood panelled open carriages ‘Apollo’ & ‘Sovereign’ offering additional legroom, wide seats and panoramic windows with seating arranged in groups of 4 or 2 around a table laid with crisp linen and fully dressed with the finest crockery and glassware. The ticket price includes a reserved seat, glass of chilled bucks fizz followed by a full English breakfast and late morning tea/coffee service with shortbread prior to the arrival at our destination. On the return journey you will be welcomed back on board with a glass of chilled champagne and a selection of tempting canapés will be served followed by a four course traditional Christmas dinner with ¼ bottle of house wine, and coffee with petits fours. An ‘at seat’ drinks service is available for purchase throughout the day.

A deposit of £20 per person will secure your booking with the balance of payment due 40 days prior to the tour.
